“ Came here during a water advisory while we were on a day trip from North Carolina. We didn’t realize that they only offered breakfast/brunch on Saturdays. All other restaurants were either closed or only offering to-go. We decided to stay and dine and were pleasantly surprised. The lump crab cakes are TO DIE FOR! Flavor bombs of melt in your mouth, delicious seafood. I ordered the wedge salad and added chicken. The house-made vinaigrette and buttermilk ranch were an unexpected, well-balanced combination that paired well with the sweet, thickly cut bacon. Delicious, original flavor pairings. WAITRESS WAS RACHAEL AND SHE WAS AMAZING. EVEN SUGGESTED OTHER RESTAURANTS THAT WE COULD HAVE HAD BREAKFAST/BRUNCH AT WHEN WE WERE ON THE FENCE ABOUT STAYING AFTER WE LEARNED OF THE SATURDAY-ONLY BRUNCH. ”

“ We loved this hotel restaurant. The food was delicious, from the burnt ends and crab hush puppies to the cocktails/mocktails, chicken, burger, and fries. The service was great as well, from the hostess stand to the servers at our table. Big windows and dim lighting add to the vibe. We’d definitely go back. ”
“ The food was exceptional! This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were told we chose some of their most popular appetizers, entrees, and desserts—recommended by our server. Our favorites were crab hush puppies, miso halibut, truffle pasta with shrimp, and the tomato cucumber salad, which was light and refreshing. For dessert, we recommend the rich and delicious butter cake. ”
“ Mannnn, look. Top notch service, really good food. I didn’t know it was part of the Marriott so I had to park in a separate garage. I was welcomed by Ivy, who complimented my locs and had me all smiles and giggles, and immediately seated me on a Thursday evening. The restaurant wasn’t packed at all. My waitress Jess was so polite and friendly. I ordered the iron skillet cornbread, French onion soup, burnt ends, and braised short rib. Everything was PIPING hot and sooo good. I didn’t care for the cornbread because I’m not crazy about zucchini but as I continued eating it, I enjoyed the flavor. The burnt ends were not really burnt at all but tender like a BBQ rib. The pickled onions set it off nicely! The French onion soup with gooey cheese was absolutely delicious. Not too salty, the onions were soft. I actually burnt my tongue eating too fast The star of the show was the braised short rib. While it did take a while to get to my table, I wasn’t complaining because everything else kept me occupied. The general manager delivered it to me and expressed how the chef was taking his time with it. Presentation was AMAZING! Tender, flavorful, juicy...ughhh, it was so good. Jess was a phenomenal waitress as she kept checking on me to make sure everything was going smoothly. Will definitely return to order other things, especially dessert! ”
“ Stopped in for dinner before a show across the street at Dominion Energy Center. Our server was awesome and I’ll be dreaming about the food until the next visit. I’m rarely compelled to write reviews, but this food was just insanely good. We got the Bistro Steak and Frites and the Shrinp and Grits. I don’t like grits but holy moly, this meal may have converted me. ”
“ Our stay at the Marriott was wonderful. Nikki at the restaurant/bar was exceptional. Her customer service and wonderful personality made it that much better. I would definitely come back and stay at the Marriott just for her!! She made my best friend and I this wonderful drink called the garden kiss & I would highly recommend! Thank you Nikki for such a wonderful experience during our stay!! ”
